Sofia,

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev received a business delegation of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) in Sofia, led by Chairman of the Board Michael Schumann. The talks focused on Bulgaria’s growing attractiveness as an investment location and on prospects for deepened cooperation with German companies.
Schumann emphasized Bulgaria’s solid growth dynamics, reliable fiscal policy, and strong industrial base: “We can learn from Bulgaria’s consistent support for small and medium-sized enterprises and from its successful integration into the European Union.”
President Radev underlined that Bulgaria, as an EU member, is increasingly perceived as a reliable partner for international investors. The role of the Bulgarian diaspora in Germany - around 440,000 people - was also highlighted as an important bridge between the two countries.
The BWA supports interested companies in strategically entering the Bulgarian market, building suitable partnerships, and successfully implementing investment projects. The BWA Federal Office remains available as a point of contact for individual inquiries and delegation formats.
